A) Make a new layer at the very top of all your layers and name it screen, now make a selection of the black shape.
B) Now click Select > Modify > Contract, and set it to 4 Pixels.
-Fill the selection in with a noticeble color. We will change it later. I chose blue.
C) On a new layer, make rectangle selection over the blue area and fill it in with black. Change the opacity on this box to 40% so you can see everything beneath it.
D) Now click Image > Transform > Skew and make the box look something like this. (Keep perspective in mind)
E) Make a selection of the blue screen shape. Press CTRL + I and delete.
F) You can hide the blue screen layer now by clicking the "eye" icon beside it.
G) Make a selection of the layer below the one you just made hidden (IE the black distored shape). Get the gradient tool and make your primary color chosen White. Make the gradient fade from white to transparent.
H) Make a new layer above the black shape. Drag your white gradient from the bottom right hand corner to up midway.
I) Reduce the gradient layer's opacity in the layer pallette. Make it around 12%
J) Make a new layer above the Screen and do the same gradient effect except from the top down. Make a selection of the screen before applying the gradient.
K) Adjust the screen layer's darkness by selecting it and pressing CTRL + U. Make it dark gray. Adjust the gradient layers opacity to 50%. Then duplicate the Gradient layer and make a selection like this:
L) Press delete, deselect and adjust the opacity once again to 25%. Now you have a nice glossy screen which you can change if you want. Just make your own screen and distort it to that perspective.
Step 7 - Adding in the final buttons, speaker and effects.
Adding the Menu Button
A) First lets make the Main Menu button at the bottom. Make a layer above all the rest, get the Elliptical Marquee tool and make a selection like this and fill it with black.
B) Deselect and rotate the oval to a slight -16.5 Degree angle using the Transform tool. You can input the angle degree at the top when you select one of the small boxes outlining the oval with the Transform tool.
C) Make a new layer above this oval, make a selection of the oval and fill the selection with white on the new layer.
D) Nudge your current selection over 7 times to the right and hit delete. Then deselect. Make the opacity of that layer 3%.
E) Make a selection of the oval again, and on another new layer right above the oval, use the gradient tool and drag it over the oval from the left to the right.
F) Again, nudge the selection over 10 times. click Select > Feather > Feather by 12 Pixels. Click OK, then hit delete 2 or 3 times. Adjust the opacity of that layer to 40%
G) The small Menu icon is simple. Make a new layer above everything. Right Click the Custom Shape Tool Icon and select Rounded Rectangle Tool. Hold shift and click and drag a small rectangle.
H) Get the brush tool, select a round hard brush at 5 pixel diameter. Now click the pen tool, right click your rectangle > Stroke.
I) Clear the path by selecting and deleting. Transform the Rectangle to a small size and distort it to the right proportion.
Adding the Speaker
A) On a layer above the rest, once again use the Shape tool labeled Rounded Rectangle tool. Make a small short oval. Right click it and make it into a selection. Then fill it in with a dark gray.
B) Double click the oval and apply these blending options:
C) Make a new layer under the speaker layer. Select the Speaker layer and press CTRL+E to merge down. Now transform the speaker into the right perspective and its done.
Adding the Side Buttons
A) Finally, the last detail, the buttons on the side. Make a new layer above the rest. Use the Rounded Rectangle shape tool. Make a Rectangle and fill it with black.
B) Transform and position the button on the side of the iPhone. Go down to the body layer, make a selection of it and press CTRL + I.
Hit Delete
C) Make a new layer above the button, make a selection of the button and do the same gradient effect. White to transparent, dragging the gradient from the edge of the iPhone inwards.
D) Move the selection of the button over 3 and 1 up. Click Select > Feather > 3 Pixels. Delete 2 times and deselect.
E) Repeat the steps A - D for the second button, except make the button shape longer and add a curve in it.
Yay, you now just designed the new iPhone in Photoshop. To bad you can't grab it out of the screen :P
-If your more experienced with Photoshop, you can merge some of the layers and go over the final product with the Burn and Dodge tools. -Adding your own screen is as simple as making it and Transforming it to the perspective. -Change the Front panel's color by using the Hue/Saturation feature (CTRL + U) on the panel's layer. -Present your iPhone design further by adjusting the document background, adding some cool reflections and the iPhone logo text beside it.
After you mess around with all of these, you could have something like this:
